Bhindi Do Pyaza

Bhindi Do Pyaza
  1. Ladies finger/Bhindi/Okra - 350gm
  2. Chopped potato - 1 large-sized
  3. Chopped onion - 1 large-sized
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Finely chopped green chilli - 1 no.
  7. Finely chopped garlic clove - 4 no.
  8. Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Coriander powder -1/2 tsp
  11. Dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp
  1. At first, clean and wash the ladies finger/Bhindi and dry out with a towel.
  2. Then, Cut the bhindi into small pieces and also cut the potato and onion into small pieces.
  3. Now heat a pan and add some oil in it.
  4. Once the oil is heat then add chopped garlic,green chilli and cumin seed, saute for few second.
  5. Then, add chopped potato and fry it for 3 min on medium flame.
  6. After that, add chopped bhindi and turmeric powder, mix it well and fry it for 5 min on medium flame.
  7. Now add red chilli powder and coriander powder, mix it well and fry it for 3 min.
  8. After 3 min add chopped onion and fry it for 2 min.
  9. Now add dry mango powder and salt to taste, mix it well.
  10. Cover and cook it for 3 min on medium flame.
  11. After 3 min opens the lid and checks it once, if the potatoes and bhindies are cooked well then turns off the flame.
  12. Take it out from the pan
  13. Serve it as a side dish with roti or daal and rice.
