Chicken Rezala

Chicken Rezala

  1. Chicken -(800 gram)
  2. Onion Paste -(3 medium size)
  3. Ginger-Garlic Paste -(3 tbsp)
  4. Cashew nut and Poppy Seed Paste -(3 tbsp)
    { Cashew nuts=15 and Poppy Seed= 1 tbsp)
  5. Curd -(150 gram)
  6. Chopped Green Chillies -(7)
  7. Onion cut into Ring Shape -( 2 big sizes)
  8. Dry Red Chillies -(4)
  9. Whole Garam Masala -
    (Clove=3, Cardamom=3, Cinnamon stick=2, Black pepper= 4)
  10. Garam Masala Powder -(1 tsp)
  11. Black Pepper Powder -(1/2 tsp)
  12. Sugar -(1 tsp)
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Ghee /Clarified Butter -(1 tbsp)
  15. Oil -( 6 tbsp)
  16. Water -(1 glass)
For marinate the chicken:
  1. At first, take the chicken pieces in a mixing bowl.
  2. Then add ginger garlic paste,curd, oil, black pepper powder and salt to taste.
  3. Mix all the ingredients very well.
  4. Now rest it for minimum 1 hour.
For soaking nuts:
  1. Take a mixing bowl and add cashew nuts and poppy seed.
  2. Now add some luke warm water and soak it for 20 min.
  3. After 20 min put it into a grinding jar add some little water and grind it into a fine paste.
For making gravy:
  1. Now turn on the flame and put a pan on it.
  2. Then add ghee and oil,let heat well.
  3. Once the oil and ghee is heat then add whole garam masala and dry red chili ,saute it for few seconds.
  4. After that, add onion paste and fry it on medium flame for 3 to 4 min.
  5. Now add ginger and garlic paste, mix it well and fry it on medium flame for 2 min.
  6. After that add cashew nuts and poppy seed paste, mix it well and fry it on medium flame for 2 to 3 min.
  7. Then add whisked curd and chopped green chilies, fry it for another 1 min on medium flame.
  8. Now add marinated chicken and cook it for 10 to 20 min on medium flame.
  9. After 15 min add required water, salt to taste and sugar.
  10. Stir it well, cover and cook it for 10 to 15 min on medium flame.
  11. Keep stirring in between.
  12. After 15 min opens the lid and checks it once, if the chicken is not cooked well then cover and cook it for another 5 min.
  13. Now add onion rings and cover it for 5 min.
  14. After 5 min add garam masala powder and ghee,mix it well.
  15. Now turns off the flame and serve it with roti,paratha or naan.
