How to make Rui Vapa
  1. Rui fish -(4 Pieces)
  2. Mustard Seed Paste -(1 tbsp)
  3. Poppy Seed Paste -(1 tbsp)
  4. Mustard oil -(3 tbsp)
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Green chillies (split) -(2)
  7. Turmeric Powder -(2 tsp)
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Water
  1. At first, clean and wash the fish very well.
  2. Now add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp of salt and marinate it, keep it aside for 10 min.
  3. In a mixing bowl add black mustard seed, poppy seed and green chilli, add some water and soak it for 15 min.
  4. Now add soaked mustard seed, poppy seed and green chilli in a grinding jar and blend it into a fine paste.
  5. After that, heat mustard oil in a pan.
  6. Now add marinated fish one by one in hot oil and fry each side for 1 min.
  7. After frying takes out from the pan and keeps it aside.
  8. Then in a tiffin box add mustard seed, poppy seed and green chilli paste along with turmeric powder and salt.
  9. Mix it well and add fried fishes.
  10. Coat the with ground mixture well.
  11. Then add 1/2 cup of water, stir it well.
  12. Now add raw mustard oil and slit green chilli.
  13. Cover the tiffin box lid.
  14. In a pan add sufficient water and heat it well.
  15. Once the water will be heated well then placed the tiffin box carefully.
  16. Now cover the pan with a lid and steam it for 15 min on medium flame.
  17. After 15 min turns off the flame and takes out the tiffin box carefully.
  18. Now let it cool down completely.
  19. After that opens the lid and serve it with steamed rice.
